So my sister asked me for R10,000 to pay for a deposit for her wedding. She has come to me several times asking for money and promised to pay me back — but always finds excuses and never follows through. This time I said no.

She gaslit me in front of the family saying I was 'mean' and 'selfish' because she 'deserved' my help. Several relatives sided with her. I stood my ground. She then posted a private message publicly to shame me.
